The Jakarta composite added 10.875 points (+0.208%) to 5,237.82 and LQ45 rose 0.35% to 901.71. Trading volume were 37.82 million worth of Rp2.524 trillion including Rp706.79 billion transactions in negotiation market. There were 152 shares rose, 115 declined and 79 unchanged. Intraday high was 5,247.94 and intraday low was 5,230.75.

Indonesia’s equity index moved higher on the first trading session in 2015. Meanwhile, foreign investors purchased Rp108.43 billion in regular market. INDF will sell 52.94% of China Minzhong Food Corporation Limited to China Minzong Holding at SGD1.2 per share. By this transaction, INDF’s ownership will be 29.94%.

Indonesian government has implemented a fixed diesel subsidy of 1,000 by yesterday. The price of diesel is now Rp7,250 a liter and premium is Rp7,600. Fuel prices will fluctuate in line with international prices and will be announced on a monthly basis.

Rupiah slumped 1.17% to 12,532.5 in spot market while JISDOR was set at 12,474, decreased 0.27% from last year’s close. The USD extending gains after its best year since 2005 as investors accumulated US assets on the delay of the Fed’s interest hike.

Asian shares rose on low volatility as oil prices rebounded as US crude inventories fell by 1.8 million barrels. Markets in China, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand are still closed for holidays. China’s government’s PMI fell to 50.1 in December from 50.3 in November.
